山頂一段的確相當艱辛，登山經驗不需多，但出發前必須多練習，並時時留意自己的高山反應，還要做足禦寒準備。

There are many routes to get to the top of Kilimanjaro. You can choose the easiest route (Marangu route) which is common to most of trekkers. However you still have to beware of the mountain sickness and coldness as mentioned by the Web Master. Another important point is the protection of sunlight and UV light which will harm skin very much especially when there have excess snow in the mountain. You should also wear your sunglass in day time when you get down the mountain. Remember to bring along with enough water and some chocolates and high energy snack in you pack. A trekking pole is very useful especially for descend when you are already very tired. The real top of Kilimanjaro is Uhuru Peak(5,895M). But if you only get to Gillman's point (5,680M) by the Marangu route, you still can get the certificate of summiting the mountain. Allow 2 hours from Gillman's point to Uhuru Peak. During you ascent, you should keep your pace slowly and steady. Should you need a rest, stay there and keep going only when you have enough rest. I think persons with reasonable fittness should make it. Wishing you summit the mountain !

較乾和較暖的一、二月是較佳的登山季節，六至九月亦少雨，但六、七月氣溫較冷。我上次一月去，很難想像原來赤道地區也會冷至 -10 度。
