Woo! Your website is simply excellent. It urged me to fix a trip to East Africa. I would go to Kenya, Tanzania and Victoria Fall in 25th June with my husband, father-in-law and two sons age 8 & 13. I've tried to contact A & K but he quoted a rather expensive schedule for me (US$3750 per head excluding V Fall). Finally, I joined a tour to Kenya operated by Kenya Airway for 10 days(thru' a travel agent in Hong Kong). It costs me about HK$12000 per head. But my sons have to pay full fare as well. The agent in Africa is so good coz they serve us as a private group and we can dicide our own route. We planed to go to Aberdares, Lake Nakuru, Massai Mara Serengeti and Amboseli in 10 days. I wonder if we could see the wildebeest. We'll have one night stay in the Ark- which my sons have been longing for. After the safari, we will fly to Victoria Fall via Johannesburg. The extra three days cost us around US$750. They suggest us to stay in A'Zambei Hotel(which is cheaper than Victoria Fall Hotel/Kingdom), is it good? Should we try the helicopter? It must be very expensive, I guess-like the balloon ride(US$385).
The tour agent can accept credit card payment for the whole trip (in Hong Kong) but I wonder if I should bring US cash with me/ traveller's cheque. I know they won't accept credit card. Can anyone give me some idea? How much should I pay the guide?
They said they can provide 500 ml water for everyone per day which of course is not enough, is it easy to buy bottles of water? How about the food in Africa? Do I need to pack instant noodles? Will it takes a long time if we get our visa on the border? Do I need to bring mosquito net for my sons coz they attract lots of mosquitos/bugs even in Hong Kong? .....HA HA- you see, t h a t ' s M U M

I haven't visited Kenya and Vic Falls. However, I tried helicopter ride in Iguazu Falls last year, which costed me US$60 for 10 minutes. Not worth the money to me as the sightseeing was too short and quite far away, but the view is definitely unique. Maybe different in Vic Falls.
If you just want to try balloon ride alone, Turkey is much cheaper (see my other site turkey.go2c.info). But surely, ride over East Africa with wild animals below will be very different!
You need some US cash on the way, but I think high-end hotels, travel agents and shops should accept credit cards. For tips, guidebooks suggest 10-15%.
Food should not be a problem. You can also ask the driver to drive you to buy packs of water before the safari begins. Not only your children, but you two should also take precaution against mosquitos. We sprayed 蚊怕水/膏 from time to time and burned 蚊香 before we slept.

Thanks a lot for your information. Can't wait to visit Africa. Althought balloon ride is really expensive but I simply can't resist the temptation to bird's view migrating animals. The local agent said we have a great chance to see the wildebeest! Can you imagine - thousands of zebras, gazelles, buffalo and hippos... all herding underneath! Woo- awesome!

Would you mind to give me the information about your Kenya tour's operator and the HK travel agent? Are they helpful?
My husband and I are planning to visit Kenya/Tanzania for about 2 weeks and hope can go in the comming September. However, we are still searching for a suitable tour (within budget!!!~$16000/head incl. the flight, is it possible?). Could anyone have suggestion?
Webmaster! Your wedsite is very good and useful. If I go in September, is it possible to see the wildebeest migration? Where I should go? Kenya / Tanzania or both?

I think your budget depends on what you want to do. If you plan to do safari for the whole trip, it is very tight.
Normally, the animal herds should be stay in Kenya side in Sep. They may be moving back to Tanzania but, as you should understand, no one can guarantee. I think Kenya is a better bet in Sep. However, if you have time, it worths to visit at least Ngorongoro, which is unique in the Tanzania side.

I think you can't just find a clinic for injection of yellow fever (although they can) coz you will need the govt port health department to issue you a certificate.
