Monduli Mountains

The Monduli Mountains are known for their natural beauty and breath taking cultural appeal, situated approximately 2 hours drive from Arusha. The peaks of these mountains are forested with cedar trees and other lush vegetation, and on the lower slopes are the dry thorn bushes which spread down to the Rift Valley floor.

Tropical Trails is the only company that has it's own base camp in this area - in these Masai lands - home to the Masai Tribe.

Our camp overlooks the Rift Valley with spectacular views of the Kilimanjaro, Meru, Longido, Gelai, Kitumbaine and Ol Donyo Lengai (which is known as the "mountain of God" in the Masai language). It is from here that you can explore the area, going down to the Rift Valley Floor for game trekking on foot or walk high into the Monduli range themselves. Experience the rich culture of the Masai, visit the local villages, schools & the Masai Bomas...our very own Masai trekking guides (whose home it is) ensure that you not only get a warm welcome, but you get the true taste of adventure !

To me, the price doesn't seem particularly attractive. Nearly US$200 per day for a CAMPING safari is not very cheap. You still have plenty of time. I think you can get more quotations and compare.
